Rumors Around Town

I heard there was a pact made
with all of your friends—
to not have sex with me.

And how quickly
your friends

broke
the
pact

and
all
had
sex
with
me.

...And I don’t mind
feeding into a rumor
every now and then.

About This Poem: "Rumors Around Town" is bold, cutting, and unapologetically savage. This poem is short, sharp, and feral in the best way. It walks the line between power and pettiness, reclaiming agency through rumor, turns gossip into power—and heartbreak into art.
